People often ask us if they can collect items for our ministry. The answer is, "YES!" Below are some of the current needs we have. If you are interested in collecting, please use the lists below as a guide. Drop-off information is also provided for each collection need. Food for Families and Single Adults

This is a suggested list of items. Please feel free to add to this list.

  • Rice
  • Beans
  • Canned vegetables (all kinds)
  • Canned fruit (all kinds)
  • Sugar
  • Cooking oil
  • Flour
  • Cereal
  • Dry milk
  • Canned meat (tuna, chicken, ham, etc.)
  • Macaroni & Cheese
  • Juice boxes (for children)

Items are distributed at Gano Mission Center and Joy Fellowship Center. Check the links for hours of operation and contact information.


Hygiene Kits for the Homeless

Put all items in a gallon size plastic bag:

  • 1 bar of soap
  • Deodorant
  • Travel size hand sanitizer
  • Travel size package of tissue
  • Chapstick
  • Travel size shaving cream
  • Travel size lotion
  • Pocket comb
  • Small hair brush

Snack Packs for the Homeless

Individual servings of the following items are distributed to homeless people. Please keep in mind that most of the homeless do not have can openers or a place to cook food. For this reason, please donate items with "pop-top" or plastic lids. Put all items in a gallon size plastic bag:

  • Applesauce
  • Peanut butter crackers / cheese crackers
  • Vienna sausages
  • Peppermints / gum
  • Fruit strips or fruit snacks
  • Bottle of water
  • Spoon / spork

Birthday Bags for Homebound Senior Adults

This is a suggested list of items. Please choose at least 10 items per bag. Put all items in a large birthday gift bag (suitable for a senior adult):

  • Birthday card from you or your group
  • Candy
  • Beanies (hats)
  • Gloves
  • Scarves
  • Perfume
  • Wallets (men and women)
  • Hair brushes
  • Tooth brushes
  • Toothpaste
  • Socks
  • Slippers (house shoes)
  • Razors
  • Picture Frames
  • Pin (decorative type worn on women’s clothing)
  • Pens
  • Watches
  • Small alarm clocks

Birthday Bags for Women (Moms of neighborhood children)

This is a suggested list of items. Put all items in a large birthday gift bag (suitable for an adult woman):

  • Birthday card from you or your group
  • Toothpaste
  • Toothbrush
  • Deodorant
  • Shampoo
  • Conditioner
  • Body Wash
  • Body puff (sponge) or washcloths
  • Lotion
  • Face wash
  • Brush
  • A present (Suggested items: Jewelry set, nice perfume, gift card for dinner)

Human Trafficking Victims Care Packages

Put all emergency clothing and hygiene items in a paper bag. Please put all snack items in a gallon size plastic bag and household food items in a paper bag.

Emergency clothing / hygiene items and snack items for rescued women:

  • Women's sweat pants (sizes Small and Medium)
  • Women's sweat shirts (sizes Small and Medium)
  • New socks for women
  • New underclothes for women (sizes Small and Medium)
  • Flip-flops (sizes Small and Medium)
  • Toothbrush
  • Toothpaste
  • Deodorant
  • Soap
  • Hair brush
  • Snack crackers (peanut butter or cheese)
  • Granola bars
  • Individual size packaged candy
  • A bottle of water


Food items for women who have been placed in apartments:

  • Rice
  • Beans
  • Flour
  • Sugar
  • Pasta
  • Canned vegetables and fruits
  • Dry milk
  • Coffee
  • Tea bags

Items are collected at the Mildred McWhorter Missionary Building (at Gano Mission Center) and then delivered to the local Coalition Against Human Trafficking. Check the link for Gano Mission Center for hours of operation and contact information.
