Fletcher Mission Center
In 1962, Fletcher Mission was the first of the 3 Mission Centers to join Union Baptist Association's effort to minister to Houston's inner city. At the time of inclusion, Fletcher's facility was merely a house (present day staff residence) that held English classes, kids' programs, food and clothing distribution and a nursery. As the ministry grew, so did the facilities. Today, Fletcher still has the landmark house but is also made up of a 2-story classroom and clothing distribution site, a gymnasium and a Christian Women's Job Corps Building.
